Catholic Committee on Scouting

What is the Catholic Committee on Scouting?

The Catholic Committee on Scouting is a standing committee of the Monmouth Chapter of the State of New Jersey Knights of Columbus.  Our Mission is to Support, Promote and Fund the Catholic Committee on Scouting of the Monmouth Council of the Boy Scout's of America.

The Committee, which is advisory to the Monmouth Council, seeks to sustain and strengthen the relationship between the Monmouth Council and the Catholic Church in Monmouth County.  It does so through providing members to Monmouth Council for the Council's Catholic Committee on Scouting; promoting the religious emblem program; host County-wide events; recognize all Eagle Scouts and provide 4th Degree ceremony teams for Scouting Events such as Scout Sunday Mass and Retreats.

We, as concerned Catholic lay people and clergy, see as our mission the constructive use of the program of the Boy Scouts of America as a viable form of youth ministry with the Catholic youth of our nation.
