Prayer
for Life
Almighty Father, Creator of Life, You have made us in Your image
and call us to be stewards of life. Help us to respect the dignity
of all human life, from conception to natural death.
Lord Jesus Christ, the Word of Life, You have raised us to new life
by Your Death and Resurrection. Help us to proclaim the Gospel of Life
by our words and deeds.
Holy Spirit, Lord and Giver of Life, You have filled us with Your Gifts
and sent us out to do God's work. Help us to work for life
by serving those whose lives are most vulnerable.
O Blessed Trinity, one God, lead us in the journey of this life
so that we may attain eternal life with You in Heaven. Amen

Prayer
for Vocations
Heavenly Father, bless your Church with an abundance
of holy and zealous priests, deacons, brothers and sisters. Give those you
have called to the married state and those you have chosen to live as
single persons in the world, the special graces that their lives require.
Form us all in the likeness of your Son so that in him, with him and
through him we may love you more deeply and serve you more faithfully,
always and everywhere. With Mary we ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer
to Know One's Vocation
Lord Jesus, up until now you have been quietly
preparing me to be your disciple. Now the time of preparation is ending. I
seem to hear you say to me as once to Peter: "Will you also go
away?" You were saddened then by friends who failed you. But Peter
did not fail. "Lord," he said, "to whom shall we go? You
have the words of eternal life."
I stand with Peter. Through prayer and counsel, show
me, Lord, where it is in your vineyard that you want me to serve. Then
give me strength to be faithful.
Mary, Mother and Model, help me to respond in
generous love to the call of your divine Son.

Parent's
Prayer for Vocations
Heavenly Father; You so loved the word that You gave
us Your Son. You have blessed us with gifted and faithful Priests, and
Religious Brothers and Sisters. Be with them and those with whom they
serve that they stay strong in faith and in their love for You and Your
Church.
Be with us as Parents striving to teach our
children about your Love so that they may develop a love for Your Church
and a desire to serve others. Let us be loving and encouraging as they
grow and discover their vocations.
Lord, if it is Your Will to have our children serve
You as Priest, Religious Sister or Brother, guide us as they come to us
for direction and encouragement so that we mad be loving, understanding
and wise in our advice. Help us to remember that it is not our will,
but yours that they should pursue in this life.
Amen.

Prayer
for Our Leaders
Heavenly Father, I come to You in the mighty name of
Jesus to ask blessings and mercy on my country and its leaders. Please
guide our president and his cabinet, our Congress and courts, and leaders
throughout our land in every decision they make. Show them the way of
truth and righteousness.
In
times of stress, Lord, make them steady; in times of hardship, make them
strong, in times of success, make them humble. Turn their hearts to You
that they will want Your wisdom and be obedient to Your instructions. Let
them recognize evil and turn away from it, and let them know good and
grasp hold of it.
Make
them honest, effective and innovative as they run our country, but most of
all, cause them to be men and women of high integrity in Your eyes, that
under their leadership, this nation and its people may prosper.
For
your many blessings, I praise and thank You, and ask You to grant my
prayer that this nation may truly say "In God we trust" all the
days of our lives.
Amen.

Celebrate
the Gospel of Life!
O Mary,
bright dawn of the new world, Mother of the
living, to you do we entrust the cause of life: Look down, O Mother,
upon the vast numbers of babies not allowed to be born, of the poor whose
lives are made difficult, of men and women who are victims of brutal
violence, of the elderly and the sick killed by indifference or out of
misguided mercy. Grant that all who believe in your Son may proclaim the
Gospel of life with honesty and love to the people of our time. Obtain for
them the grace to accept that Gospel as a gift ever new, the joy of
celebrating it with gratitude throughout their lives and the courage to
bear witness to it resolutely, in order to build, together with all people
of good will, the civilization of truth and love, to the praise and glory
of God, the Creator and lover of life.

The Apostles’
Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified; died and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Our
Father
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
